Due to a new addition to our family on the way, we were running out of room in our house so decided to increase our living space downstairs and have an extension. We had the plans drawn up and next needed a builder. A friend of mine recommended Kent Extensions so I went online to check out the company. I was impressed with what I saw so contacted lee and he was soon round and provided us with a quote. It was clear to read and detailed the labour charges for each part of the build, and a break down for the materials. Happy with the quote, and after we'd compared it to another couple, we were pleased to have lee start a short while later. Lee and his team were very efficient, professional and above all else seemed to actually care about the job and took pride in what they were doing.
Communication was great throughout and lee is more than approachable.
Several challenging situations arose throughout the build that were unforeseen, but lee was great and his knowledge in the trade showed as he dealt with every part and quickly overcame the problems.
We were pretty much on target with the budget (labour costs remained exactly the same as the quote however, just the materials came in slightly over as we had to change a couple of things) and we were complete in a matter of months from the start date.
We have been left with an amazing space now that has hugely increased our quality of living as we have virtually doubled our downstairs living space, incorporating a large kitchen/diner family room, a warm insulated garage and a sizeable second toilet and shower room.
It's over to me now to finish the toilet and shower room which will be done soon.
We were finished in time for Xmas and had it round our house for the first time ever as we hadn't previously had the room! All our visitors so far love it and have commented on what a brilliant job it is.
I would definitely recommend Kent Extensions to anyone for any building project large or small, and will be using lee in future for any other building projects we may do.
